You can satisfy the college report submission requirement in one of three ways:
Option 1: Invite an official to complete the form electronically through the Penn Portal
Request that your institution fill out the electronic version of the College Report. Instructions are on your Penn Portal. This option requires you to share an emailed link or document with your institution for completion. If your institution requires a separate form or asks you to contact them directly instead, use Option 2.
Option 2: Invite an official to complete a PDF
Invite your college advisor, a college administrator, or your institution's student records/registrar's office to complete and submit the College Report on your behalf. You can share a PDF version of the form (Common App or Coalition App) with any administrator who needs or prefers a paper version.
Option 3: Request a signed verification letter
If your institution's policy doesn't allow it to complete college reports, we'll accept a signed verification letter from a college advisor or other authorized institutional official instead. The letter must:
- Be on official institutional letterhead.
- Include the name, title, and contact information of the official sending it.
- Confirm the applicant's current or most recent enrollment status, good academic standing and absence of any pending academic action, and eligibility to return to the institution without restriction.
For all three options: the report or letter must be submitted directly by the issuing institution. Forms or letters submitted by applicants will not be considered official and will not fulfill this requirement.
